A Coaching Intelligence™ Micro-Credential

What is it?

The coaching intelligence micro-credential is a highly valuable and specialized certification that equips individuals with essential skills and knowledge in the field of coaching. This credential is designed to enhance one's understanding of effective coaching techniques, strategies, and principles. Who is it for?

For Schools and Whole Organisations

The Coaching Intelligence™ Micro-Credential approach to certification provides a quality assurance of high performance regarding the quality and impact of coaching across the whole organisation. The Micro-Credential is for Schools and Organisations looking to create a culture of coaching that elevates performance.

For Leaders

The Coaching Intelligence™ Micro-Credential is for leaders who are committed to crafting their expertise in coaching and are not looking to take their learning on to a formal EMCC or ICF coaching qualification.

The Process

The Micro-Credential process involves Six parts:

Coaching Intelligence™ Fusion Lab Training

22 Hours of Training - See Fusion Lab

Coaching Intelligence™ Chemistry Lab

Ongoing Coaching and Mentoring - 10 Hours - See Chemistry Lab

Readings and Research Log

An ongoing commitment to growing your knowledge of the skills and approaches to coaching. Recommended readings and articles will be provided in the support materials.

Coaching Log

A commitment to coach practice is required and evidenced via your coaching log. A total of thirty (30) hours of additional coaching is needed to meet the requirements of the Coaching Intelligence™ Micro-Credential.

Coaching Intelligence™ Competency Reflective Journal

The seven Coaching Intelligence™ Competencies provide the roadmap to best practice in coaching. It is required that you reflect on your growth as a coach against these competencies and evidence them in your reflective journal.

Coaching Observation

Two coaching observations are required as evidence of competence against the seven Coaching Intelligence™ Competencies. (These observations may occur within the Chemistry Lab - Coach Mentoring Program completed after the training.

Recorded Coaching Conversation

One conversation (of at least 30 mins) submitted as evidence you have achieved the required coaching standard for The Coaching Intelligence™ Micro-Credential.

Evidence and Evaluation

The following evidence of the practice is to be collected over the period of 12 months (one academic year) in addition to the Coaching Intelligence™ Fusion Lab Training:

Evidence

Thirty (30) hours of coaching - Logged in your Coaching Log

Logged in your Micro-credential Coaching Log. (This does not include the opportunities to coach within the training). Information collected includes date, coachee, duration and general theme of the conversation

Readings and Research Log

Evidence of a minimum of 10 readings and research as additional professional development in coaching is to be kept with reflections in your Micro-Credential Readings and Research Log.

Self-Assessment and Reflections against the Coaching Intelligence™ Competencies for each of your coaching conversation.

This can be completed as follows:

  • After each of your coaching conversations, choose one of the seven Coaching Intelligence™ Competencies to reflect on. It is expected that across your thirty hours of logged coaching you will have reflected on all seven Competencies at least once.

  • Templates for all aspects of the process will be provided as part of the Micro-Credential Pack.

Evaluation

Two Coaching Observations

Assessed against the seven Coaching Intelligence™ Competencies with written feedback and reflection.

One Recorded Coaching Conversation to be assessed against the Coaching Intelligence™ Competencies.

The conversation will be assessed against the seven Coaching Intelligence™ Competencies. It is required that 90% of the emerging and 50% of the proficient competencies are demonstrated in the recorded coaching conversation.
